      Hello,

Looks like an original badge by Rudolf Karneth of Gablonz a.N.

      Best regards,
      Tom

I agree with Tom,it looks like a good R.K badge.

It is hard to see from the reverse image you have provided, but can you make an image of the maker mark ?

I think i can just make out an "R" to the left of the pin on the reverse shot ?

        Regards,Martin.

            Hi sasktraveler,

Like the others have said, it's a good zinc Gablonz-made R.K., usually attributed to Rudolf Karneth (although the attribution to Karneth is still unproven at this time).

There are nine variants of R.K. -- three Tombak and six zinc. This one is a so-called "level 6" maker mark, variant 3.1.7 in the classification table, which is the 9-wave variant with the distinctive long vertical flaw in the reverse die.

            Best regards,
            ---Norm
