    It´s a Kriegsmarine time

    Hi guys,

I´ve just crossed 500 posts here so I´d like to show you something from my cabinet. I´ve been focused on marine corps for some time and this is a result. Most of them are from local members here so some of them can be a bit familiar to you

I know there should be submarine clasp but it´s out of my budget for this time..

A nice collection, Would maybe think of upgrading your blockade breaker to a wartime model IMHO.
A 1st model S-boat would also be a nice addition.
You have a nice collection though.

                Cheers,

I agree, very nice set of KM awards
Blockade Runner is actualy a wartime badge but it was denazified and unusualy long pin may indicate a replacement.

The main pin in Hobacher minesweeper also looks replaced.

I enclose reverse shots of my agmuk BR and WH Minesweeper for comparison.
                    Cheers,
                    Hubert

Thanks for your next comments guys. Well some upgrade of my BR badge is required for sure. It´s all about financial sources and right occasion for getting a right one (from gablonz maker). For me as not only the KM collector is 2nd pattern S-boat and submarine clasp something not so necessary. But what is necessary in the world of collecting, right?

I´ve attached pictures of two disputted badges. IMO minesweeper pin is not replaced, dunno about BR one.

                          Hi Joseph,

I have to agree with Hubert, the pins have been neatly replaced on both your Hobacher Minesweeper and A.G.M.u.K. Blockade Breaker. But still nice original badges and the collection looks great together.

                          Best regards,
                          ---Norm

Allright, appreciate your input here Norm. I though it´s only a Hobacher badge with non marked pin. Have a nice day guys

Joseph, remember that just because a badge has a possibly replaced pin, it just means it does not conform to the normal badge we see by this maker.

In many cases, the pin, if replaced, was done during the war for a variety of reasons. Naturally, it could be a post war pin replacement, but I think the vast majority of them, without conclusive proof to the contrary, were done wartime.

Collectors like conforming badges, but the variants out there seem to multiply by the day, even if we only see one or two of them.

                              Here is another WH, marked.
