To me it looks cast.

Soft details, cast line on side, the gilding doesn't look right and I do not like the pin catch very much.

But what do I know.

I agree, it's a cast reproduction of the S&L zinc Fleet badge.

Okay very intresting, I bought it some 10 years ago at a yardsale for not much and came across it again some weeks ago. I'm cleaning out the attic since the wife needs the space So there will be more stuff.
