    Schwerin Coastal--authentic or not?

I found the following badge while looking through the Kriegsmarine section of a dealer’s site. I don’t see anything in the pictures that would lead me to believe this is not an earlier piece.

I’m asking your input because there is a post about this dealer’s site on the forum and a fellow member implied many pieces on the dealer’s site are not authentic. I am trying to decide whether I should automatically eliminate specific sites due to a higher quantity of reported fake items.

    Thanks for the input,

    Chad

      Hi Chad,

This one looks fine to me. I guess no dealer can get them all wrong.

      Best regards,

Would it not be great if the sites were 100% one way...some with all fakes and some with all original. Than it would be easy !

Reality is that it is a constant search, research, experience and luck to sort through all the sellers. Even the best of them make honest mistakes and the worst sometimes have great stuff for sale.

In this case, this badge looks pretty solid so job well done.

                Cheers,

                Glen
