Hello collecting community, I had a quick question for anyone that wants to
give their 2 cents.

Q: If you found a nice Minesweeper badge but it had been de-nazified, would
you still buy it?


because I found one the other day for $85, but I feel as if a part of the badge's history is gone now.

would really like to hear back from people on this one.

A de-nazified badge certainly hasn't lost its history because it appears that the individual survived the war. The badge however has to be considered incomplete or damaged and as a result the value of it is normally about one-third of the value of an undamaged badge. There are collectors out there that specifically collect de-nazified badges.
