Bringing this thread back to life because the set is currently on sale and imo the box is not original, there are square cloud shaped boxes for the BSW IAB but the rectangular shaped boxes are not original.

unfortunately I have to agree about the box. This variant of the box is considered to be a fake of the BSW IAB box (please have a look on my original example - you will clearly see the differences).

Original boxes are collectible. My problem is that in the sales thread the box is presented as an original. An original case is worth between 60 and 100+ euro's. I think the future owner should know that and the sale thread should be changed.

I certainly didn't mean to imply that original boxes were not collectible -- only that this box wasn't collectible. Anyway the price of a box adds little relative to the price of a Schwerin Tombak S-Boat - one of the most expensive Kriegsmarine badges there are in today's market.
