Auxiliary Cruiser one of those French ones

Picked this up the other day. Just thought I would take the time to post it & learn what I might about these non-German made badges.

I understand folks believe in them while other don't. I would welcome any feedback and or comment.

    Thanx in advance, RC

      Hi Rick,

A classic so-called Bacqueville (or Mourgeon, or French-made, or...), ugly as sin and no less controversial!

I don't think there have been any new revelations as far as the old debate of "unauthorized late-war production/never awarded" versus post-war fantasy pieces. No matter when they were actually made, they almost certainly never came to the light of day before the war's end since they never ended up in East Germany or with any German veteran. As such they don't have a lot of appeal...

      Best regards,
      ---Norm

        Hi Rick,
Norm has said it all. I enclose two other 'original' French made AC awards, since there is a lot of later fakes too. I personaly do not belive in any of them for the reasons reminded by Norm.
        Cheers,
        Hubert
