Unmarked Destroyer Badge .
Not sure if I ever seen such a Destroyer Badge in Tombac .
Who is the maker ?

It has the same catch as Schinkle and BH Mayer .

Hi Jan Arne,

I agree with Hubert. This is an early P&L - the unflawed variant - with an unusual hinge and pin setup. The obverse design, finish with silvered undercoating, concave reverse, darkened reverse and catch are all typical P&L.

P&L's U-Boat, Destroyer and Minesweeper all show some variability in setup, and the Destroyer and Minesweeper also show some differences in hand finishing of the internal margins.

Could you please show closeups of the hinge?

I just realized we've seen this badge before at some point on a vendor's site. Here was the reverse comparison I did at that time showing the variable hand finishing.

This view showed the silver undercoating on the obverse - a feature unique to P&L amongst KM tombak badges. Also here's a closeup of the hinge.

I have two tombak Petz & Lorenz awards - Minesweeper and U-boat.
Same catch and silwer undercoating (it went black on my badge) as on Jan Arne's Destroyer can be seen on my Minesweeper.

Here is also early unflawed P&L Destroyer with typical reverse setup from Jamie Cross site. Strange thing is that it has the catch and the hinge positioned conversely.
