          Hi wolfslair44,

Both nice original Tombak badges. Interesting they both bear the name "Rosen". Are they from a grouping?

          Best regards,
          ---Norm

            Hi wolfslair44,
            I agree with Norm.
Nice tombak Schwerin U-boat badge, early 1A type and tombak Karneth Minesweeper badge, so called 'level 1'
I enclose same variants from my collection for comparison.
            Here is Schwerin u-boat.
            Cheers,
            Hubert

Both "Rosen" scratched examples are imo nice originals as has already been stated.

Re both being scratched Rosen, that is certainly not invonceivable. We could be looking at badges from brothers (or relatives of some sort) but Minesweper and U-boat badge combinations are not that uncommon on period photos.

Out of curiosity it would be interesting what the second line on the Minesweeper badge says (Nor??? ?194?)?

                  Regards
                  Mike

Mike, it appears to be his Stammrollen-Nr: NO 10??/ 41T. Can't read the middle numbers with my old eyes.
