    Naval Combat Clasp - Marine-Frontspange

    Hey everybody out there,

is there anybody in this forum, who has ever seen a real naval combat clasp (like the one in Dr. Klietmann's book, Page 145 or Forman's book, page 109, Nr. 101 c) or a copy of it ? There should be at least copy's of it, because I was offered one nearly 25 years ago. Unfortunatly I didn't bought it, because it was to expensive for me to that time.

so, I'm looking forward for the inpout from all of you in these case

    cordial greetings from germany

the clasp in your case is the official version from 1957. I mean the version with the eagle and the swastika on it.

        but thank you anyway

          Hi Walter.

Klietmann also says he has seen only one of the type you are
referring to. Apart from that piece, the rest are handmade.

                Hey Peter,

thanks a lot for the pics, because I'm not able to post some. I know the story from Klietmann and was satisfied with it, but in the book from Nimmergut about the third reich awards (part IV) there is a pic from exactly such a naval clasp (and it's not the one from Klietmann). As far as I know, is it the clasp from a collector in Germany somewhere, but I don' t have any name. So my question; if you can get fakes from nearly every combat award of that time, there should be also one from the naval combat clasp like the one you posted, or ?

                Greetings

                Walle

PS: Peter, nice to hear from you again !

                  Thanks Peter.
So thats how the "official" award looks like. But why does the handmade and the 57 issue look alike
