    Hi Ron,

This is one of the French "Bacqueville" badges. It is correct for the type, but there is still a lot of controversy about whether the type is wartime or post-war. See the thread pinned above.

Evaluate the item, not the story and not the seller's reputation!

If you PM/contact me without the courtesy of using your first name, please don't be offended if I politely ignore you!

Its up to you to belive in this badge or not.
Some says that they are 100% wartime and some others says no.
Do a search on WAF and you could read a lot

        Hi Ron,

As the others have said, whether you believe they're late war unofficial production or post-war fakes they're certainly the most hideous of KM badges! Mercifully there's no such thing as a Bacqueville Minesweeper badge.

The Bacqueville AC is the only Hilfskreuzer badge to use a horizontal pin system rather than vertical.

        Best regards,
        ---Norm

Something that has always puzzled me Norm.

There were Minesweeper flotillas based on the French Coast during the war,so why no Bacqueville Minesweeper badge ??

          Regards,Martin.

Perhaps because the Minesweeper badge was the least valuable to collectors....?

            Cheers.
