Found this Eboat badge, is the stroy legit?

Guys I need your help here. I got this eboat badge yesterday from a old man in The Netherlands. He cant remember where he got it, or when it broke. But he told me it was his for a long time. Its a bit dirty I still have to clean it a bit.
Too bad its broken, but is it a legit badge?

Yes, that is the remnant of a genuine zinc Schwerin 2nd pattern badge.

I think there is no fracture line visible if you look a little closer, it looks like a very creative denazification job to me. This is quite an interesting piece.

You are absolutly right that there is no fracture line visible! Could be the recipient denazified it be cutting the upper part off. There is a very smooth line above the boat!
