    Appears to be a perfectly legit wartime badge but has anyone seen one finished in this manner before- with the gun silvered?

      Is it really silvered or has the finish perhaps been removed from the gun?

        Hi Norm,

        from the images it looks to me that the silver finish might have been applied over the dark finish on the
        gun ?

        I see spillage of the silver finish on the wreath and also i see areas on the gun barrel where it looks like the silver finish has "flaked off" exposing the dark undercoat.

        Perhaps a close up image of the barrel might determine this,or your theory ?
