High sea fleetbadges (Scherin and RS & S)

    Hello,
Here are two HSF badges, I think that the "RS & S" is not an original due to the type of pin and catch, for the "Schwerin", I don't know? May I have your opinions? Thanks for comments, regards, Claude

      Hi Claude,

The Schwerin appears to be an honest orignial zincer with weak or absent 5th (left) bridge window.

The RS&S is a known fake - a search should turn up more of them.

      Regards
      Mike

Evaluate the item, not the story and not the seller's reputation!

If you PM/contact me without the courtesy of using your first name, please don't be offended if I politely ignore you!

        I agree with Mike.

The Schwerin is a good original zinc badge.

The RS&S is a well known fake.

        Regards,Martin.

That RS&S still gets around plenty, you would think that with the forum's this sort of badge would be long consigned to the bin from where it came.

I agree, original Schwerin and fake RSS HSFs.
            Cheers,
            Hubert
