Hi Julio65,

SHuCo Destroyers are difficult, and non-classic examples are surrounded by controversy since the dies made the rounds after the war and some survive to this day. The "round S" version (not yours) comes under fire the most, at least some of which are reproduction (if not all which is still debated).

Yours of course, at the very least, has replaced hinge and main pin. Overall, the other details look good but two other concerns remain. One is the finish on the wreath which persists on the highlights yet is missing in the crevices -- looks like a repaint.

The second is the significant flaw in the bow wave which I've never seen before on originals (or copies for that matter).

So I'm left uncertain about your badge. It could be a damaged, messed-with original but it certainly has some problems.

Could you please provide dimensions and weight in grams?

Those statistics are what you would expect for an original. So just the previously mentioned concerns remain - hardware, finish and bow wave flaw.

Hi Julio had a couple of Shuco in my time and going off those pictures unfortunately this would not be one that I would want in my collection. Agree with Norms concerns also looks lik pitted and the eagle detail looks weak even for a Shuco. Just my opinions. Regards
