        Hi frankandfrank,

Thanks for the postings! Can you please clarify regarding the HSF badge with diamonds -- was that in the Rogge exhibit or is this attributed to someone else?

        Best regards,
        ---Norm

As far as I know, Rogge got the Hilfskreuzer-Kriegsabzeichen.

Great stuff; can't wait to see more

are the badges the original issued badges or replicas for display?

a museum in New Zealand had famous NZ medals stolen not long ago so now only replicas are used for display there incase of theft.

              cheers

Is that a model of the HSK ORION? That was Weyher's boat wasn't it?

if it is it is funny that it has two funnels as pics I have seen show only one.

                  Hi frankandfrank,

I know you're getting a lot of questions here, but you could you please clarify? Is the HSF with diamonds on display there attributed to anyone in particular, or is it just a display item?

                  Best regards,
                  ---Norm

I thought that it's Rogge's because it's visible in the left top corner in the picture displaying Rogge's stuff

Different background and different photography angle through the cabinet glass, so it can't be the same badge...

Several years ago a friend of mine made me a copy of his photo of Rogge's diamonds badge. He visited Rogge at his home in the 1970s and shared a bunch of the photos from the visit...including one of Rogge's badge.
