Thanks Hubert. Not sure if we can determine much from the variant setup except to say it is a variant. I guess if somebody is going to collect these badges, they should stick with the normal hardware versions. They all seem to have the same hinge but vary a bit with the catch--some having catche plates and others not.

Agree about AC and CAB with variant setups!

This s-boot with 'variant 2' setup, same as in Weitze's CAB is also fake IMO - it shows even same finish as in CAB. This badge comes from K. Butschek site.
