    U-Boat on E-stand before buy

    Hi All,

I was on the lookout for an affordable U-boat for display and I found one on the e-stand.

I reserved this badge, and would like opinions to check whether it is pre-1945 so the deal can continue.

As far as I researched it is a K&Q design (also used by S&L and Deumer?) and has the needle replaced.

Please let me know your opinions.

    Best regards,
    Michel

Hi In my opinion the reverse hardwhare is replaced and not typical of K&Q. All the best

Yes the entire hardwhare (hinge / needle and catch) on the back is replaced.

Original K&Q but its had a hard life, and already said replaced hardwhare. Here's mine for comparison have to say very hard to find thou in this condition. All the best

S&L, W&L or K&Q all have the same obverse - statistically speaking S&L was likely more prolific than the other two, although the only marked versions are W&L and K&Q and are very rare.

                Gary's example is a beauty!

                Best regards,
