It seems very new for me, but I am not expert on those.

Hi have come across these before with the Juncker style set up, have seen them on some dealers sites also. What I have noticed is that alot have the same type of squiggles on the reverse which appears strange. Have to say not sure if I like these, would I have one probably not.

                Janos,
I was not aware that S&L made these badges. I don't think it is in the data base that John started. If I am wrong forgive me.

I have not seen this type of badge before and I do agree that the hardware sure looks bright and shiny. Before I put this in my collection I would want John or some of the other more advanced collectors to give an opinion as I just don't feel comfortable giving the thumbs up on this one. Please excuse me for a fairly useless post but I did want to ask about the S&L statement.
                Mike

                  Hello Mike,

I'm not an expert on these, but no one replied yet that's why I thought I would share my opinion.
I do a bit search now and found a badge which looks the same to me.
I see this is the blockade from Militaria-Berlin, why don't you ask their opinion about this one?

                    Janos,
That is very interesting. I will look into that. Maybe the emedals web site still has this piece on it. Thank you.
                    Mike

I agree with János that this is the Blockade Breaker attributed to S&L (although not proven of course). Aside from the reverse setup being seen on other S&L badges, and the similar example seen on the Lüdenscheid board, another factor as discussed on GCA, is that of all the wartime BB badges the porthole pattern of this type is the closest match to S&L's '57 version (although the '57 does have an extra two portholes added).

                      Best regards,
                      ---Norm
