    Coastal artillery war badge

    Hallo!
Is everything ok with it? There are no manufacturers initials on it, who was it?

    Hi hobby-forum,

It's the same maker as the zinc minesweeper in this thread:
    Minesweeper ID

Personally I believe Paul Meybauer is the likely candidate. It's definitely different from the somewhat rare B.H. Mayer Coastal Artillery badge.

    Best regards,

The catch on your CA is a good match to the Meybauer marked wound badge catch. Although other makers used a very similar catch, a feature of the Meybauer catch is that the bottom tip of the wire catch at the base is set farther in toward the center of the base plate.
