Auxillary Crusier Badge - Opinion?

Hey people,

Just some opions of this badge I have had a read on the forum but would prefer more knowledgable opions. I tried taking some close ups of the acorn on the wreatth and the eagle if its any help.

I do not know what metal it is tbh.

But looking at it you can see excess metal under the sail which doesnt seem to be in other AUXILIARY badges and also excess metal at the bottom of the wreath unless I am wrong in this....

The badge fails imo on another point - there's no cut out between the sail boom and the hull

All makers have this feature so don't believe it's a question of lack of finish.

I agree.I am always dubious of any HK award that does not feature this cut out.
All known period awards that i know of have this cut out.

I do not like it. I get the impression the maker went out of his way for some details (like the acorns, eagle talons), but neglected the cutouts. For a zincer, the amount of age depicted in the globe seems inconsistent with the lack of degradation on the wreath.
