Three KM badges for review please.

    Hi Guys,

I've been asked to authenticate several items for a firearms collector who periodically comes into contact with other militaria.

I'm of the belief that these three are all good tombak pieces.

    Any opinions to the contrary?

First up will be a HSF.

    Thank you for your assistance.

    Regards,
    Stu

As I'm not quite as sure on the Destroyer as the other two I'll add a couple extra photos.

            Hi Stu,

They all look good to me. It looks like there was a small repair to the hinge pin on the Minesweeper badge, being replaced with a piece of wire? Is there a view with the pin down for completeness to make sure it's the original pin?

            Best regards,
            ---Norm

                Hi Stu,

Yep, the pin has been replaced. Otherwise nice badge though. Here's an original pin.

                Cheers.

All period. Hinge-pin replacement was probably wartime. This is logical since if it was postwar, the pin itself would be missing in all likelihood.

So wartime repair would be my guess.

                        Hi Stu,
I like all of them. I agree about the pin.
