    Tirpitz lot

    Hello gentlemen,
I recently found a nice grouping of a Tirpitz member-a beautiful HSF,Polarurkunde some pics and crew badges which I am not certain which time-frame they are from.

the HSF,a nice seldom worn Adolf Bock with a 57 mini. The mini gave reason why I am curious about the crew badges´time-frame.

Nice group, i take it you dont have the docs for the HSF and EKII?

The polar crossing doc is the usual one you find for the Tirpitz, they do pop up now and again. The stick pins look postwar though the one on the right just could be wartime, the ship did 'award' pins like this and it came with an award document.
The photo of Karl Topp was given out on the occasion of his leaving the ship after he was promoted to konteradmiral.
Collecting German award documents, other paperwork and photos relating to Norway and Finland.

Thanks a lot for the reply.

              Unfortunately no other docs surfaced.

Here is a better shot of the crew badge.

                  Nice grouping Winston.

As Simon said already, the Emden pin on the right (square one) could be a wartime example, the others are postwar.

The Tirpitz crest shield was first shown on a gold round background and later only the shield itself.

                  yours friendly

Very nice grouping! Any chance we can get a few reverse shots of the badge? For reference purposes?

                      Thanks,
                      Chad

Personally: the crew badge, and I always like to see the HSF. Thanks!
