    U-Boot C E Juncker???

    Hi Guys!
A couple of weeks ago I posted a Schwerin Uboot badge that I received from a major German dealer and it was bad. So I just received this Juncker U-Boot from him after the return of the Schwerin.
I've compared it to posted Juncker U-Boots and except for 1 difference my untrained eye could see it looked OK. BUT, I'm far from an expert on these!
But I would greatly appreciate you opinions!!!
    Thanks,
    Greg

Evaluate the item, not the story and not the seller's reputation!

              U-boat badge

              Hi Greg,
It is good , but here is something to confuse you more. What do you think about this this example?

BTW, this exampe is 100% good and has been seen in person by both John Robinson and I. It belongs to one of my best best friends.

It appears to be the best of both worlds.

              Regards,
              Jody

Thanks Jody! I didn't know that either type of Juncker Uboots were marked?

                  Hi Greg,
Look at the hallmark. It is a Juncker badge and the hallmark is Schwerin Berlin and it is not a Schwerin badge. But the badge and hallmark are still good. It is a mystery. No, the badge was not stamped recently to increase its value. I have known about and seen this badge for almost 30 years.

                  Regards,
                  Jody

Holy cow! I saw the badge as a 100% Juncker & saw the hallmark & assume aJuncker hallmark! What is that about?? Are there others out there? Amazing!
                    Thanks!!!

                      Hello there,

Nice badge. I really like the contrast in color of the reverse hardware

Nobody really knows for sure if these are truly Juncker UBoot badges. We just assume it from the setup and eagle design. Who knows what was going on back then. Schwerin making these for somebody else?

Schwerin looks too different to me, the gilt, eagle's head, talons feather etc.If these badges have a connection they should be match more to each other like the HA-LM kriegs badges.

This massive, angry eagle is a typical Juncker trademark in my opinion.

Exactly. Or, somebody else making it for Schwerin if Schwerin had a production problem. Like you said who knows?

This also applies to unmarked Schwerins. Who knows if this was intentional or not. In other words, perhaps sold by Schwerin, perhaps delivered by Schwerin to some other maker for a period of time.

We are guessing on these and I am sure the original makers would be having a heck of a laugh right now due to our confusion and speculations.

                              John
