They all look very nice to me. Love that unmarked B.H. Mayer Destroyer in zinc - I've only seen that design in tombak before.

          Best regards,
          ---Norm

            I agree;

            1) a nice zinc probably Mayer Destroyer
            2) a very nice zinc Schwerin Blockade Breaker
            3) a nice but worn tombak Juncker Coastal Artillery. These ones rarely hold their obverse gilding or bluing very well.

            Regards
            Mike

                Hi Chad,
As everyone has said you have some nice badges there. I really like the destroyers badge.

                Regards,
                Jody

                  Hi Chad,

Out of interest, would you be able to post a closeup of the hinge on the Destroyer from a side view with the pin open? Is that a solid block hinge or an "open block hinge"?

                  Best regards,
                  ---Norm

                    Hi Norm,

At the moment I can't, but as soon as I can, I'll post it

@ Norm, here is an additional photo of the hinge. Looks like solid block to me.

Also, I wanted to just double check on the pin of the blockade runner (since it wasn't in the first photo) and also get opinions on the stick pin.

                      Thanks!

I like all three as well.

I do have a question on the Juncker CA though; I am used to seeing these tombak badges with the die mark on the reverse like the PIC below.

Any thoughts? Did they all have them, I don't remember.

                            Hi Chad,

Hm. I was expecting a hinge block more like these attached (zinc KVK1 and tombak MS).

Could you post a view from the other side of the hinge block with the pin open?

And Tim's comment about the Juncker CA is interesting too. The semi-circular line below the maker's mark on these badges alwasy seems to be the exact same distance below the maker mark and is a feature of the reverse die. On your badge, the maker mark is unusually low so that the circular line fell below the bottom edge of the badge, suggesting either: a) the reverse die was displaced inferiorly towards the bottom of the badge for this striking or b) it's a really really good reproduction which didn't get this detail right. I think it's probably good because you do see variation in the location of the maker's mark in various posted examples in the forum. I'd be interested in more comments.

                            Best regards,
                            ---Norm
