There's another example of this type of unmarked CA badge in the database thread pinned to the top of this forum.
As John has previously pointed out, although the hardware matches HA, the badge itself is clearly different from HA, having different cutouts as seen on the reverse.
These badges are very similar (but not identical) to the CA badges attributed to S&L, which makes me wonder about another Lüdenscheid maker, but the crimped in hardware we don't usually associate with Lüdenscheid...
Anyone else have some thoughts?
Best regards,
---Norm

Buying it at Kai Winkler's shop does not guarantee it is genuine -- you still have to research items you buy from dealers or eventually you will get dinged. Having said that, I think this is likely a genuine period zinc badge by an unknown maker.
I was hoping to get some more discussion going on these to see if anyone has some other ideas about the maker, perhaps based on similar setups on other Lüdenscheid makers' badges of the other services?
Best regards,
---Norm
