    Help with sub badge

Hi all. I'm on the lookout for a nice sub badge and since it'll be my first, my question is...although Schwerin is the premier maker of this badge I'm not too struck on the eagle, so what, in your opinion is the nicest looking sub badge. I'm thinking 'Funcke & Bruninghaus'.

    Hi Peter,

Schwerin may not have the sharpest looking eagle, but the gilt finish on their early tombaks can't be beat IMO. Those unmarked Juncker are very nice overall as well.

Or what about one of these, L18, eagle is by far one of the best designs, oops thats the second pattern meant the first.

This is the one I meant, hopefully, by far the nicest of eagles

Yes, the early unmarked Zimmermann badge is nice also.

                  HI Gary...that's the one

Some great sub badges there and you're right Tim, the Zimmermann's also one I'd go for.
Actually i have to admit the Schwerin's quite nice as well

As far as design goes i think Juncker is now my favorite followed by the Mayer/Zimmermann/Schickle type.
If i was ever to add another U-Boat badge to my collection it would be a Juncker.I really like the "bold" look of the eagle on these awards.

                    Regards,Martin.

Peter!! How could you go for anything but....

I agree guys, if I had to pick only one...the Juncker would get my vote.

I have never seen a Juncker for sale before, how much is the price for a mint one? Its really the best looking one.

Here in England you are talking £350 plus.
