I'd like to see the hinge crimp on the minesweeper.

Hi The coastal looks like a nice original, the Assmen minesweeper needs closer pictures of the ball hinge and catch. Could well be ok but the ball hinge looks strange going of these pictures. All the best

But not an Assman, rather an unmarked "AS in triangle", but without the "hairy legs"...
I believe it's still unknown who AS was, but an unknown Gablonz maker is my understanding.
          Best regards,
          ---Norm

              Hi guys,

I agree with Norm, both original badges, but not made by Assmann. "AS in triangle" is a maker we have yet to identify but like Norm says, probably located in the Gablonz area based on the hardware.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

What do you think of that dark, almost black base metal with the pitting on the reverse and the poor detail on the eagle's feet which usually show a distinctive feathering? Would you say this is late war "Kriegsmetall", the lousy leftover materials after the good stuff was no longer available?

                  Regards,
                  ---Norm
