I agree. Even to my novice eyes, poor quality casting. You can see obvious casting line as marked.

I got this from a respected fourm member, so I'm sure I'll get my money back if it is a fake, I would like to hear some other thought as well be fore i contact him

Have to agree with the others. It looks like a poor quality casting with soft details and "non-zinc" material.

whats the price range of a good HSF badge now days?

Sorry to say I agree mate, Fake IMO ...Off the top of my head an HSF Badge can go for anything from $250 to Euro850 or a slightly more...It depends on maker and condition etc. etc.
