    What is Your opinion about this badge . In my opinion it's OK , but J would like to be sure.

    I personally don't like the letters on the obverse and the catch soldered on the maker mark. From this pics it looks like a zinc bagde.I'm curious to know what other Guys will say about it.

      Looks like a good zinker to me, these were often found with the catch plate covering part of the mm. better pics though would help

        Picture quality is not very good and with these badges, you do need good resolution which these do not have.

        However, it looks like a period zinc example from what you have provided IMO.

          I can't see the pic of the reverse but from the one of the obverse it looks original to me. The pic is not great though...lighting too strong and direct!

                Reverse

                Aside from the odd brownish discolouration on the reverse which is "unzinc-like", possibly dirt?, in all other respects it seems like a good match to the flatbacks described in this thread:

                  Blockade Runners badge

                  IMO, the lettering looks just like it should. If it were straight and in line, that is a bad sign. The catch plate in some examples is soldered onto the makers mark. IMO, it is a good badge, and in good condition too. Smitty.
