                Hi Gary,

outstanding documents and a couple i would love to own.The first set is from a crewman from the "Komet" and are signed by the Commander Robert Eyssen.
The second set and very special IMO,are from the second cruise of the "Thor" and signed by her Commander Gunther Gumprich.
As a collector of HK awards figured it would be nice to have a couple of HK award doc's in my collection.
Just before Christmas i picked this one up.It is from Hans Storch a crewman from the "Orion" and signed by her Commander Kurt Weyher.

                Regards,Martin.

                  Well,

after obtaining the "Orion" document,"i was hooked".I decided i wanted an award document from every ship.
Here is one i just received from a crewman from the "Stier".
This one too is signed by the Commander Horst Gerlach.

Now here is the rare one.
A recent find and awarded to Friedrich Krebs who was crewman on the "Kormoran".This is the award document he received for his HK award while he was a POW in Australia, being catured after the "HMAS Sydney" sinking.
Kormoran and Sydney sank each other of the west coast of Australia.Sadly, all hands on the Sydney were lost, most of the Kormoran crew survived and were captured by the Australians and interned in Australian POW camps.
                    So,three down,seven to go.
I cannot quite make out the signature on the bottom of this document, not sure if it is that of Theodor Detmers, the Commander of the Kormoran?

                    Regards,Martin.
