    My Eboat has arrived...

    Hello all,
I just came from the post office with my R.S. ( S.) Eboat badge, it was discussed here before I bought it:
    http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=408112
The R. is missing from the maker mark R.S.,, a unique flaw. The badge is really a nice looking badge in hand, I had nooo idea the badge is so big, quite impressive.
The weather outside has been up and down today with snow, clouds and high wind, have a few good pics though.... hope you like...

Very nice. The badge seems to have some zinc pest on it. Your choice if you wish to treat your badge with a petroleum jelly or if you just want to let this one alone. Zinc pest can be researched on how to deal with it.
I had some zinc pest on a Narvik shield. It works pretty nice to use Vasaline.

                  Just my opinion.
                  Regards.

                  Nice badge!

Van, it almost looks like the area to the left of the S, where the R in the mm would normally be that it has been polished or ground. Could that be what happened to the missing R? Hard to tell from the photos but that area has a suspiciously different colour.
