This is an area I have not spent any amount of time with. I personally don't collect personalities of the war. I don't have any death cards, or any photos with exception to 4 personal photo albums of Kriegsmarine sailors.
Thank you for posting the others for comparison. Very nice examples you have.

Even though, I don't personally delve in this collecting area, I can see the quality and the appeal.

Justin, I didn't take it that way old son...I was just answering your question and maybe got carried away...I just really enjoy the analysis and comparison aspect of collecting signatures!
    Cheers, Steve

      Steve,
Ok, just that it looks very much like those of his early post war signatures.
Not shure, but anyway a very nice photo!

I am suprised that there is not yet an interest in forming a database for signatures and such. Maybe this could be a subforum one day or perhaps a social group. Gathering documents and such with various signatures from the different figures of the Third Reich and such.
Something perhaps to consider. Would be a great reference.

        Regards,

Rudolf, Thanks mate...just to round out, here is a Donitz signature taken from a document dated Sep 1944 that, as signatures go, demonstrates the exact same major characteristics as the one on the card below. This is not atypical and I have seen these characteristics on his signatures as early as late 1942....IMHO there are a number of differences on his post war signatures when inspected closely.
