Post your best Kriegsmarine item that was obtained in 2009

    Hello,
I would like to see the neatest KM item that you obtained this year (2009).

For me it was not a badge, but I had these U-boat items framed. I had them for over 9 years and I finally got around to having them done up. Of course my dear friend and fellow collector Victor framed them for me.

I would love to see your neatest items from this year.

    Regards,
    Jody

U-93 sunked and some of the crew member was rescued. So this Sailor survived? I am just wondering, I receive only one EK II class with some stuff from Kriegsmarine. Nothing good to show

Guys, My choice of my KM finds in the year 2009 (thus far...the year isn't over yet!) would be this Juncker Auxiliary Cruiser Badge!

                        Hi Jody,

i guess my best find is this piece i picked up earlier in the year.It is not the best looking award,it is worn and incomplete.
As a collector of Hilfskreuzer awards, this has to be rarest i have seen.
It is a tombak badge that is attributed to Paul Meybauer and the only one i have seen to date.

                        Cheers,Martin.

                            Jody,

there was one more item that i was very happy to obtain this year.I finally picked up a Hilfskreuzer award document.
This one is for a crewmember of the Orion and is signed by her Commander,Kurt Weyher.
It was signed on 25 August 1941,two days after the Orion's arrival in Bordeaux, after 511 days at sea.

                            Martin.

My only Kriegsmarine acquisition of 2009, and it pales beside those great U-Boat groupings!
