    Hi really need closer pictures as these awards are very well faked, what I can make out is that the catch is wrong, possibly the hinge too going of one of the pictures, the mm looks wrong also. All the best

        This f.o. U-boat Badge is a cast fake for sure. Even with the small pictures, there is enough visible that I have no doubt about this one.
        Check out the area in the red circle below. You will see two parallel, raised lines that run across the one laurel leaf. You will never ever see this on a real one. Also, it seems that there is a major flaw to the deck gun on this fake. These are only two of many fake indicators on this badge. In short, nothing is correct about this badge.
