    Two, zinc Coastal Artillery Badges

    Hello to all,

I found two Coastal Artillery Badges this weekend at the OVMS Show in Wilmington. The first is one by Hermann Aurich and the second is by Förster & Barth. I thought they are pretty nice for zinc badges and neither one is considered common as far as I know.

    Best regards,
    Tom

          Hi Tom,

I like that Aurich badge, it's easy to see why they are considered associated to LM's Minensucher i.e. the crimped catch is off centered to the left.

As for commom or not, I've actually seen at least three unmarked L/21 in the very same condition during the last two weeks. Is there any unheard of hoardfind out there

          cheers
          Peter

Thanks Justin, apparently there were both marked and unmarked F&B' CAB's in that horde.

                    cheers

                      Thanks for the comments, guys!

I was not aware that a hoard of F&B Coastal Artillery Badges surfaced recently. (Thanks for the link, Justin.) Whether this one came from that hoard, I don't rightly know. The dealer that had this one had no others like it and this was the only F&B Coastal Artillery Badge that I saw at the Wilmington Show.

                      Best regards,
                      Tom

It is a fine piece to be sure. I meant nothing to discredit or take away from the splendor of this badge.
                        A good example!

                        Regards,
