The type of pin used on this piece is generally found on post-war made awards...note the way the pin tapers (rounder then flatter then rounder again) and how it attaches at the hinge.

        Dear Robb,

Yes, unfortunately a (known) post 1945 item. In addition, Friedrich Keller was not a maker of KM awards.

            Dear Frank,

Do you no which original awards were produced by F.Keller?

I have some other badges in my picture files by this maker but they all reside in my fake files.

              Dear Phil,

That is exactly where they belong! There is a Friedrich Keller in Oberstein (Präsidialkanzlei # 66), but I have yet to see an original war badge marked with that name. I don´t know off the top of my head what he made. Probably medals, Flower wars, Ostmedaille and the like. Just a guess though.

              Cheers, Frank

                Hi Guys !

I think Frank is correct .
I have one cased 25 Year Faithful Service Decoration / Cross . Cross is unmarked , but cased is marked with Friedrich Keller , Oberstein .
