The pin and maker's mark look good for this manufacturer.

Thanks for your answer, George. I have a genuine Uboatbadge from L/21 in my collection and if i compare the needle system i can see they are made similar.

Foerster and Barth is never listed as a manufacturer of the destroyer badge. Does anyone of a sure good one from this manufacturer ?

          Chris

I don't have such a badge, but I do have F&B on my list of makers of the Destroyer Badge.

Does anyone have such a destroyer badge in his collection.

I read an old thread where Lorenzo showed his badge. Lorenzo: Did you make some research about this badge ?

              Greetings,
              Chris

                Dear Christian,

Your badge is textbook L/21 in every respect.

                Cheers, Frank

I had one a while ago, it had the same reverse feature of the extra metal on the edge of the right side...I agree with the fellows who say it is good, John

Hi Christian. Sorry to post late on this.

No, I haven't done any additional research but I agree that the badge is original. When I first posted my thread I had not actually seen another L/21 Destroyer badge. Somewhat rare I think.

Since then I have seen John's and now yours, all three with the same flanged reverse (as John mentioned.) I also now see on yours the remnants of gold gilt on the wreath which did not appear on mine and was a question I had on my original thread. Interesting,as it would appear that they applied a Grey/silver basecoat to the wreath and then overlaid that with gold which apparantly does not adhere well to the badge.
