    Sub badge, is it original or not?

    Ok, here's a sub badge I bought off ebay years ago before the ban. What does everyone think about this one? I really appreciate your input. It's unmarked.

    A so called French Baqueville badge, some say they are wartime originals, some don't.

      I think it's good!

      In my opinion, your badge is an original French-production example, made by the firm of Mourgeon in Paris. As Mark mentioned, the debate of whether these are original or not has gone on for decades.

      The link below is to a discussion thread dealing with these French-produced Kriegsmarine Badges. You may find it interesting. Nowadays, it seems that the majority of collectors accept these badges as wartime originals.

        Yes, looks very much like the ones in my files so agree with the other two gentlemen.

        Must admit I'm not among the believers but that's another story.
