Early Type E Boat Badge - Makers Mark ID Required

Hi

Can anyone identify the following makers mark I have on an early E boat type badge

Markings are the initials DZ above L/44

I cannot find any reference in the handbooks I have

I´m pretty sure that this one is a fake. Pictures would help, but again, most likely not original.
