My favorite 2nd pattern KM E-Boat Badge

Since we are all used to seeing these badges with most of the finish gone because of their zinky personality, I would like to submit images of a recent member of my collection that has most of its finish still in place:

      Nice badge!

I never realised the lower hull at the prow was supposed to have the same gilt as the wreath.

This is a great maker of this badge and far exceeds the quality of Schwein IMO.
I have one in exactly the same condition and I have never seen a worn example of this badge. These usually seem to be for sale in the UK, in Germany you hardly ever see an example being sold.
A british dealer once told me that these were all in storage in the german northen ports and were captured by the british still packed in their crates and shipped straight back to the UK. DonĀ“t know if this story is true but it would sure explain the mint condition of these pieces.

            Outstanding!

Hi Yuri, just a beautiful badge! I think as far as "pretty" goes, the KM Badges were by far the best things the Germans did '37-'45. After the Auxiliary Cruiser, the E-Boat is my favorite. Nice example, in outstanding condition and by a tad obscure maker to boot! Very nice find!

Thank you gentlemen. I've always wanted a representative example of this badge that is this nice for my collection.
