Greetings all,
I have been trying to help Sascha Weber with his new book in supplying images of a badge of mine.
I am wanting to supply him with information on weights, measurements and makeup of material for things like the badge and pin.
Now, The pin is the maker marked "O" 1st model so I know that it is a zinc piece.
A small postal scale can help for the weight, do I need small calipers to help with the size? or is a metric ruler or such a better way?
Please, let me hear your suggestions:
Here is a shot of the pin housing for you all. as well as the catch. My best guess is that the catch is zinc as well since the bodning and seam is pretty good and usually I would expect to see a difference and perhaps a more corse or non uniform appearance if it was another base metal.
Your help is appreciated.
