Yes, it certainly appears to be a zincer in exceptionally nice condition. Strangely enough though, the bubbling and imagery give the reverse a cast look!

As interesting as this might appear from first glance, compare it with all other examples of this badge. Start with the maker mark. Yours is flat, not with the raised letters seen in normal period examples. Mike's point about the bubbling looks to be the result of a cast job on an a period example that had bubbles.
This badge is cast IMO. Comparison below and I will attach a few more for your examination. JohnComment

This is a new fake from Staegemeir! I thought I post it here because this guy seems to improve concerning the bubbling and the lettering. The bubbling is still not that good, notice that there are no bubbles at all, just some dirt he applies. What shocked me was the lettering, that is really dangerous.
He is very close in creating a very very good fake of this badge.
I hope you don´t mind this little shock therapy...

Hi guys,i was just looking true Staegemeir shop and prices are litlle lower than normally this days on the market and this rises the question if this shop full of fakes? should i stay away from this contact ? or i am just paranoid.
