Great, Thank you. Hope I get this one.

I just looked in Tuckers Badge book and the Eagle is very simular to the L/21 marked badge is possibly this is the correct maker?

          Bjorn,

looking at the reverse hardware,i would say that this is probably an unmarked example by BH Mayer.

          Regards,Martin.

                Hello,
This is a nice original piece and there should be no worries about it. BTW, I think Martin is correct about it being a B.H.Mayer piece-that would also be my guess.

                Regards,
                Jody

Possibly L/21 based on the badge in Tucker's book. Not easy to say for sure since several makers used this design. the main thing it is a beautiful original!
                        best wishes,

Possibly an L/21. However, it could be a Shickle L/15 since we have marked examples of that. I am not able to provide images of that right now, but it is the same. To answer your question about L/56, L/56 made no KM badges in tombak as far as I know. If anybody has a tombak marked L/56 please post it here, but I do not think one exists.

Gordon Williamson believes the badge is a L/15 or a Mayer (L/18) for full disclosure here.

Thank Jeff & John! It is indeed a beauty the only near mint badge I own.

John: Thanks for the tipp. I found Gordons thread on another forum and as you said it dont seem to be possible to make a sure call on the maker.
Seems to be very few marked examples of this badge.

So we are left with these possible
                              Mayer (L/18)
                              Shickle (L/15)
                              Förster & Barth (L/21)
                              Zimmermann (L/?)

Is it not ok to link to that forum?

                              /B
