Opinions wanted on this Coastal Artillery Badge

Hey guys, what are your thoughts on this badge? I got it a while back, and decided I probably need to sell it, but want to make sure it is a good one. If it is good, what would be a fair price for it, seeing it is missing the lower catch? Thanks for any and all help! http://i371.photobucket.com/albums/o...g?t=1236041576

I would say original after comparing it to the original badge shown in the manufacturers lists on this forum. Shame about the missing catch.

Thanks Mark! What do you think would be a fair value for this piece?

          Coastal artillary badge

What you have is a Souval restrike badge.Souval did make badges during the 3rd reich period. The 'S' is a different shape on the originals and i would keep away from Souval badges to be sure that you have a original.collect36

I would still go for this being original.

Souval Badges are nothing to be feared, as long as you know what you are looking at.

As to a price, Have a look at what coastal artillery badges are going for on the e-stand and in a similar condition to yours.

              Regards,

              Mark

IMO,this is a good wartime piece by Souval. The reverse hardware is what i would expect to see on period badges,as is the MM.A few more detailed photo's of the rim would be of help,i think.

                Regards,Martin.

Ok, so do you guys think $100 would be a fair price, since it is missing its lower catch?
