I don't like the looks of that GWL maker mark

yes the gwl u boot raises some doubts for me

the marker mark isnt good

also notice how the keel of the sub is thinner at the lefthand side than the right.i have a fake gwl with the same characteristic, if a little more pronounced.

be interested hear what the experts say here

GWL U-boat

Hello,
I don't find the maker mark that bad. I have seen other GWL marks where they sit real low and off center on the U-boat (I think Darrell has a GWL that has a low off center maker mark). Plus I like the serrations to the pin which I have seen on many original badges.

Overall I don't have a problem with it yet, I would love to see a larger picture of the maker mark.

Makers mark

I'll try and get a better scan of the makers mark,

I matched it up to the one on on this site and it seems to be nearly identical.

I agree, as stated above I don't see an issue with it. I have never seen a fake GWL yet with serrations to the pin. Plus the finish, etc.
