I noticed those small scratch marks on the back side of the u-boat badge, I really wonder how they got there, could it be because of wear? The badge looks mint

This badge is attributed to Juncker and is considered one of the nicest designs in tombak of all U-boat makers. Who knows how the scratches got there, hard to say now. This badge has held up well over the years and depending on the flash of the camera it can be a little hard to tell the actual finish. Most of the ones I have seen are like this, sort of a nice dark color, not similar to Schwerin in finish for example.Originally posted by Steinar View Postlooks like 2 super badges.
