Just a little point the name for this style of hat is

a 'Fore and After' or 'Fore and Aft'

At least in RN and many other Navies.
Not sure what it would be in German.

I just learned zwei spitze,,two point. probably just german collector slang. thanks for proper name byte.

josh, the friend of mine actually needs a little mourning time with it he had plans to set up a mannequin with it.

Summer Eagle

Absolutely love the White Backed Breast Eagle! I also received the one n my colection from a U-Boat Commander who was in the early KM. You don't see a lot of these! "Zwei Spitze" is what he called this hat along with the "Mess Jacket" an "Affenjacke" Apes Jacket since the arms were longer than the waist of the jacket. A very nice collection from one man.
