This just docked yesterday.. if the pictures look cold,, it's because it is cold...lol... my first Schwerin Berlin 68 Destroyer badge.. seen some wear.. but still in excellent condition.

Combatworn pieces has a certain charm to them - congrats. I hate to say it but the finnish looks postwar applied. Try a gentle tuch with a earcleaner dipped in acetone or nailpolishremower. If it leaves goldpaint on the cotton its postwar.

I just tested it, no gold residue on the qtip..
I think the pictures look a little rough, it was overcast and snowy this morning, the sun is out now, Ill take some more pics here and see what they look like..

IMO,it is a good looking Schwerin zinc badge.From the second set of pictures it appears that it has retained most of it's original finish.
