    Yes.

    I saw that.

Some very nice and mint Kriegsmarine war badges on that belt. Brought back from the war by a relative of the chap who brought them to the show.

And.................for a change.................the expert seemed to know what he was talking about when it came to Third Reich material. He gave the young chap a fairly accurate valuation.

First time I've seen TR-militaria on the English version. It's not always the british scene is caping the show so I haven't seen all of the recent episodes.

      Some more screens.

I think it worked out at about £200 per badge.

Probably more than he'd get offered if he took them to a dealer.

There's been some Nazi stuff in the past.

The usual bits and bobs..............EK2s etc.

Best one was when one of the attendees produced a Spanish fake of the diplomatic dagger to a well-known 'expert' who said it was ultra rare and worth (at that time) about £3000.

God knows what happened when the guy went to sell it.

Yeah i saw this, nice belt, i wonder if the relative was up on the North German coast area, like Hamburg or Kiel?

Nice to see the expert stearing clear of dragging politics\PC into it and describing them for what they are. He didn't seem to know what the belt was though

There was one episode many many moons ago i remember seeing an SS dagger shown

I've often wondered what they'd say about a piece of Allach porcelain.

                      Antiques Roadshow

I regularly watched the US version of the antiques Roadshow on my TV. Unfortunately, there arre mostly pre WW2 militaria being shown on that US version-mostly Civil War militaria. The Third Reich militaria was not allowed to be appraised because of PBS's PC policy. I would like to see the UK version of the Antiques Roadshow but it was on other side of Big Pond. I havent watched the American Antiques Roadshow in long time due to PBS's strong liberal policy.

There was a US Antiques Roadshow that had a collection of Third Reich awards on several years back. Not sure on all the details but I do remember a DKiG. On a more recent show there were German Helmets. Pre-WW1 and WW1 but not any ww2 as I recall.

I am of the understanding that antiques roadshow in the U.S. has taken a strong PC anti-nazi stand. The only TR item I have ever seen on the show was a woman had an SA dagger her father brought back and that was on the ending credits quick comments by attendees.
I would have liked to have seen the episode with the items Dennis mentioned.

Some how some people in America can't figure out the war is over and that we won. The real Nazis/skin heads probably would not pay for the real thing when they can buy cheap repros by the bucket load.
